Interview
Jonny Lang- Jonny burst onto the scene in 1997 at just 15 years of age with the multi platinum album Lie To Me. Tours followed with everyone from The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith to BB King and Jeff Beck. He's also recorded with the likes of Santana, Buddy Guy and Double Trouble.
In early 2021 Jonny announced that due to ongoing vocal issues that he was cancelling all confirmed appearances. It’s been radio silence ever since. So, Kasey has dug into his archives to retrieve his 2017 interview with Jonny who was then healthy, happy and celebrating the release of his incredible and most recent album, Signs. Jonny will talk in depth about the album (including guitar tones and production choices), recording with Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Steven Tyler, and his vocal health at the time. Jonny will also play word association and do his best to sum up some of the amazing people he’s worked or rubbed elbows with over the years in Bill Clinton, Zakk Wylde ,Willie Nelson, Dan Aykroyd, John Goodman, Santana, Ronnie Wood, Jesse Ventura, John Popper , Marti Frederiksen and more!

Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal : Many of you know Bumblefoot from his 8 year stint with a little band called Guns N' Roses or from his fret shredding solo albums but he's not one to rest on his laurels. Bumblefoot has two killer projects on the go in Sons Of Apollo featuring Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth, Mr. Big) , Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Winery Dogs), Derek Sherinian ( Black Country Communion, Alice Cooper) and Jeff Scott Soto ( Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen) as well as Art Of Anarchy with former Creed vocalist Scott Stapp. He's also become the lead vocalist and guitarist of Asia (yes, the "Heat Of The Moment" Asia!)

Jeff Zahn : Composer/Musical Director, Are You Afraid Of The Dark. Jeff has supervised and written the music for over 50 TV series , he’s performed all over the world accompanying artists including: Diana Ross, Gladys Knight and Sammy Davis Jr, he’s written for Ray Charles, produced projects for Art Garfunkel and Wyclef Jean. He even developed and produced his own Halloween themed animated feature film “Spookley The Square Pumpkin for Lionsgate which has been released in over 30 countries and plays annually on the Disney Channel. Among his best known work is as the theme composer and musical director of the original 90's TV series, "Are You Afraid Of The Dark".
Jeff will discuss AYAOTD in great detail, from how he landed the gig and the surprising origin story of his now famous theme to the contributions of series composers Jeff Fisher and Raymond Fabi. He'll also deal out some tips to musicians on how to reach music supervisors and break into scoring film and TV, talk some of his current projects that are in development, and treat you to a laugh regarding a comical exchange he had with Ray Charles Oh yeah, he was also friends with the late, great Bobby "Boris" Pickett, the man who gave us Monster Mash!
Aaron B Koontz : Aaron is a devilishly talented writer, director and producer. Kasey himself describes Aaron’s film, Scare Package, as “one of the best horror films I’ve seen in years, a smart horror comedy/ anthology which manages to be both a side splittingly funny and goregasmically gruesome love letter to horror fans by horror fans.” Aaron also directed the cowboys vs. witches film, The Pale Door and is producing several films to look forward to including, The Bunker starring Tony Todd (Candyman) and Tobin Bell (Saw) and Old Man which is directed by Lucky McKee whom many of you will remember as the director of the ghoulishly great movie, "May".
Aaron will discuss working with the legendary Joe Bob Briggs and pro wrestling star Dustin Runnels (aka Dustin Rhodes, aka Goldust) on Scare Package, happy accidents, inheriting a blood soaked car during filming and deciding to blow it up on screen, work life balance, how to collaborate with creative friends without it leading to a murder spree and more!

Matthew Peak: Horror fans will know Matthew for his iconic movie posters for the first five A Nightmare On Elm Street films. Yes, if you found yourself in or around a movie theatre or video store during the film’s original reign of terror it was Matthew's art that donned the theatre walls, VHS box and soundtrack covers. Matthew's art has also graced the covers of many soundtrack albums from The Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Citizen Kane to several of Alfred Hitchcock's films (not to mention albums from Hans Zimmer, James Horner, Thomas Newman and Family Guy's Seth McFarlane)!
Matthew will discuss everything from how he got the Elm Street gig and how long the paintings took him to the positive side of deadlines, ripping up his paintings in frustration, being haunted by his art, why his work for Nightmare 5 got pulled from the ad campaign, his cameo in said film and painting vs. digital art.

Yvette Kaplan: Yvette has worked as a writer, director, producer and in several other capacities on a number of animated projects over the years from King Of The Hill, Futurama, Zack And Quack, The Magic School Bus and Doug to the 2002 film, Ice Age. However, she is probably most known for her work as animation director of the original hit series, Beavis And Butthead and it’s feature film Beavis And Butthead Do America.
Yvette and Kasey will go behind the scenes and discuss not only the inner workings of Beavis And Butthead from the early challenges of the show and the infamous “fire” controversy to working with Mike Judge and the growing pains that came with the jump to the big screen. How did Yvette go from retiring from animation in the 80’s and hand painting baby clothes to directing Beavis And Butthead’s music video with Cher and the duo’s appearance on Letterman? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
Dwight Little : Dwight is perhaps best known for directing Halloween 4 : The Return Of Michael Myers but his credits also include Marked For Death (starring Steven Seagal), Rapid Fire (starring Brandon Lee), Murder at 1600 (starring Wesley Snipes) and even Free Willy 2 : The Adventure Home. He’s also directed a number of TV shows including The X Files, Millennium, From Dusk Till Dawn and 24.
Dwight will discuss Steven Seagal pulling a gun out during one of their meetings and how they got along on set to how he was able to help Brandon Lee land his role in The Crow, working with Robert Englund on The Phantom Of The Opera and the plight of being Freddy, the importance of mavericks like Roger Corman to the film industry, the VHS boom, Netflix and more.

Kasey also does battle with an obnoxious home care worker that probably killed her pet rock as a kid, breaks up the “Mensa meeting” between Yellanore next door and her hobbling hobgoblin of a sister, Peg Leg Pam, provides an update on everyone’s favorite drug inhaling derelict, Crackhead Chrissy and pines over not being able to reach the last box of reduced in price frozen treats at the local merchant of food stuffs. Finally, Doug Mcfly has been making his way through the works of Shakespeare and just finished Hamlet...Kasey suggests he try reading them instead of eating them.
